The Execution Department of  SSIT has successfully implemented many projects in past few years, such as BFs , Circular Sintering Plants, Pulverized Coal Injection Systems and Coke Ovens in India. The recent projects include steel-making converters, walking beam reheating furnaces, steel rolling plants and TRT power plants.  

Brief introduction of key projects of Execution Department of SSIT in India:

1. SSIT had undertaken the complete works for Bhushan Steel Works to achieve an annual production capacity of 800,000tpa, with one 1008m³ BF, one 105m² sinter plant, eight 12-holes coke ovens with capacity of 450,000tpa. All these three projects have been implemented by SSIT from engineering, design, supply, main fabrication and technical services at site. At 10:30hrs, Oct. 16th, 2007, the unit was put into production. At 14:10hrs, Oct. 17th, 2007, it successfully produced hot metal. At that time this project was the largest metallurgical project contracted by a Chinese company in India. As of now the project works is performing satisfactorily with the BF productivity index attaining the designated target; capacity can reach 2.6 after improvement to the burden batch.

2. TATA 1.6mtpa coking project with 32×11 holes coke oven, coal preparation, coke screening and a 100kw waste gas generation system.

SSIT has undertaken 32×11 holes coke oven project that included design, supply, technical services, construction and commissioning. It is the first EPC project for SSIT and it has been executed satisfactorily. At present, the 1.2 mtpa coke oven has gone into production and the various indexes reached the designed levels. The construction on the main structure of the balance 0.4 mtpa is progressing smoothly, and expected to be commissioned and put into production in end-May, 2009. The Clean-type heat-Recovery Coke Oven with Stamp-Charging technology was adopted in this project and it is the largest clean-type, heat recovery coke oven project in the world.
