Ferroalloy Making technology
SSIT provides ferroalloy furnaces with state-of-the-art control of the process, which allows enhanced production while energy saving and low consumption, keeping the equipment running in optimised conditions.
General
- The ferroalloy smelting electric furnaces for ferro-silicon, ferro-manganese, silicon-manganese, high-carbon ferro-chrome, are low-chimney semi-closing or fully closing type; capacity more than 25,000KVA. The transformer is energy-saving, with OLTC.
- The refining electric furnace for low/mid-carbon manganese iron, manganese metal, low/mid-carbon ferrochrome, with hot charging hot blending technology; capacity more than 3,000KVA.
- The capacity of ferro-silicon calcium alloy and ferro-silicon calcium barium aluminum alloy is more than 16,500KVA.
- Dust recycling device for raw material treatment, smelting, charging & transporting.
- Fume & sewage inline monitoring.

- Ferro-manganese alloy < 2,600KWH/t
- Silicon manganese alloy < 4,200KWH/t (charging grade 34%)
- High carbon ferrochrome alloy < 3,200KWH/t (charging grade 40%)
- Silicon chrome alloy < 4,800KWH/t
- Low/mid-carbon ferromanganese alloy < 580KWH/t ( cold charging <1,800KWH/t)
- Manganese metal < 1,750KWH/t
- Low/mid-carbon ferrochrome alloy < 1,800KWH/t
- Silicon calcium alloy < 11,000KWH/t
- Silicon alunium alloy < 9,000KWH/t
